We are a family firm letting three student houses in Coronation Street [the real one !] in Salford.
We bought the houses because they are:

Salford University and the city centre.
We aim to be good, friendly landlords, who look after our houses and our tenants. Of course we undertake all the necessary safety + energy checks, and use a tenancy deposit scheme, through our agents.
We are upgrading the houses each summer, so they will get better and better.
Coronation Street is part of the New Barracks area, apparently built as the first social housing in the NW. The houses were all upgraded in the 1980’s by the council, and moved to private ownership soon after.
A few are now student houses. Salford Lad’s Club [famed on the Smith’s album cover] is opposite.
